To me the Wild are capable of making the playoffs, we're 6 points away, given how we've been playing with 5 forwards out, and a lack of skill, we could still get on a streak and get very close. If Shepp keeps playing well at wing, PMB will help take some pressure off Havlat, Sykora can score, Pouliot can be usefull too, maybe we would see a line of Pouls Havlat and Shepp.
All we need is to start strong and keep the pressure up, Backs is the reason why we can make it, he's been solid, we have some pieces to move, and there is potential to add guys to the team that could help us.
1) SJ too much firepower
2) Detroit i think they will figure it out, goal tending will come along too
3) Calgary as much as i would like to say Avs, they are young and it will show
4) Chicago too much talent,
5) LA kings
6-8 Columbus, Wild, Colorado, Dallas, Vancouver, Phoenix, Edmonton
any of those teams can end up in the 6-8 slot it will depend on moves being made and players stepping up.
Vancouver can end up as division winner, they are missing a twin and the groin masseuse which will help them score.
to the east now
1) Devils, they are insanely good, Parise is scoring too even under JL
2) Washington they can be #1
3) Buffalo seems legit
4) Philly to me they are tougher then Pitt and Emery has been solid on/off ice
5) Pitt tons of skill, can be division winners
6-8 Montreal, Boston, TB, Ottowa Atlanta, NYR, NYI all depends on what happens at the deadline, this is where veterans like Nolan and others can be great rentals to help a team get a little better for the playoffs.
Det/Chi vs NJ/Phi for the cup those are my 4 teams that i think can get to finals,
Det vs NJ is what i predict with NJ winning it and JL being hated more by the haters.
