I think he's assuming you have a press pass.

No, he knows that I don't. I've already let him know... Maybe I should email him back and remind him. lol

Or, maybe you could find out how to get one. There are several bloggers that have press passes.

So, I added in a background that has players from the Wild bench on each side and customized the menu bar at the top a little bit further.

What do you guys think?

I'm not really digging my banner though any more. It looks way to blurry/out-dated. I need a new one.

Your blog is looking better and better all the time man. The one thing that really sticks out to me is the fact that a lot of your link options at the top of the page look like they are crossed out. That and, well, the players on the sides make it look really cramped. It'd be better if they were washed out or something. (JMO)

Could you maybe take a screen shot as to what you are talking about? I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say that the link options are crossed out. Could you show me what you mean (cause on my computer, everything looks great).

As for the player background, what do you think would make it look better? Black and white? Grey-scaled? Or were you thinking some other sort of effect?

Thanks for the comments and input Ceh.

Maybe it's just because I looked at it through a TINY 15" non-widescreen monitor. Once I get my home PC up and running again I'll take another peek.

So.... I've made a LOT of changes to the blog lately. Mostly on the gameday and post-game entries. In the game-day entries, I've further added more stats. I've also added player pictures for the starting line-ups instead of just typing their names for each team. Using Internet Explorer, if you hover your mouse over the pictures of any player, their season stats will pop up in another smaller window. Still trying to figure out a fix to get it to work for FireFox, Safari and Chrome.

To see examples of how my game-day entries are, check out the Wild vs Canadiens entry I posted earlier today by clicking here.

To see examples of how my post-game entries are, check out the Wild vs Canadiens entry I just posted about an hour ago by clicking here.

I'm really trying to get this radio-show type deal up and running via talkshoe.com with a friend of mine. The plan is to make a couple of broadcasts each game-day. Once for the pre-game. Once for the post-game. Unfortunately, I and he both have lives and we are discussing how to get this rolling. Once we do however, I'll be pretty much satisfied with the website as a whole.

Anyways, I'm always up for suggestions. Have any of you noticed any bugs/glitches? Ceh, I remember you mentioning that it looked pretty rough for you on an older computer. I've also ran into that sometimes too. Once suggestion that I have is for people that are visiting my site using Internet Explorer is that there is a "Compatibility View" button located next to the refresh button on older versions of IE. You need to click that button sometimes when viewing my blog to fix some of the bugs that pop up.

I also wanted to shout out a thanks you to Ninja here for having the widget to post my blog entries on the front of this website's portal page. Any additional exposure helps! Thanks man! Cool

Finally not being unemployed had a lot to do with that Ceh.... the new job has been taking up all of my time lately.... and there was also the problem of my laptop taking a shit on me, but we finally have her back up and running!

Anyway, going to be updating her pretty much nightly again and am giving the entire thing a face-lift during the next few months so it's a lot easier on the eyes and easier to navigate.

I'm also going to be going to be partnering up with some other bloggers for other NHL teams to have our own website so that is pretty exciting as well. More details on that soon.

P.S. GO CANUCKS!!! cheers

As you guys will also soon see, I am going to be moving my forum over to the vBulletin platform where I can have a website, forum and blog all built into one. I'm really excited because the options that I'll have as far as infomation, stats and articles really are endless. Once I have her up and running, I'd really appreciate some help with feedback and you guys joining in on signing up and partaking in discussion over there as well!

More info soon!

Having the forums for my blog is just kind of an added bonus to be honest. The main reason why I am switching is because vBulletin blows every other platform out of the water as far as functionality and "easy to navigate-ness" and I wanted a blog where fans could have an easy way to communicate their thoughts on the team. I'm playing around with the layout that I can use and man... is this thing going to be sexy and easy on the eyes.

I have a huge feeling that the majority of wild.com members will migrate over there over time since kickapps sucks so bad. Hopefully I will see some of you guys over there as well.

Can't wait to launch this thing. It's gonna rock. Smile
