| Oh yeah. Backstrom would have really saved the day against the Kings. Was this all his fault tonight? Absolutely not. But it don't mean shit who you have in net when the team starts to screw up in front of ya. Not even Backstrom can stop it even though he TOO hasn't been worth the money he's getting right now. But the Backstrom buttkissers will make more excuses. I ask, "Why hasn't Harding been put in?" How does it feel?
Same shit..two way street.

| werd, we had an awesome start too.
inconsistency is killing us in these games. we gotta do it for all three periods. this is like the Twins season but on ice.

Same shit..two way street. I'd say go tell that to Antti, but he doesn't post here. That is one of the biggest issues that really crumbles the cookies. The major fooking double standard, and it's held by so many. I fully support Backstrom, but people have to play if fair. How many games has he stolen since signing that big contract? And again, I'm not saying it's all his fault. No way. It's the pitiful mistakes in front of him. But people have to remember that those pitiful mistakes are the SAME mistakes that play in front of Harding, yet he gets ragged on for every single goal. Backstrom gets a "get out of jail free" card. Backstrom lets in a goal = Defense's fault Harding lets in a goal = It's his fault because the goalie is the last line of defense

| I can count on 1 hand how many times Backstrom has stolen a game for the Wild in his entire career here. He doesn't exactly do that very often. Harding I think is about equal in amount of times we've seen him steal a game here as well... but thats on much fewer starts by comparison.
Backstrom isn't a GREAT goaltender, and Harding isn't a BAD one.
BTW - can anyone tell me what happened with Sykora?

| No clue on Sykora. They just said he and Cluts were out. Guess we can use the injury bug excuse this year like the Canucks' fans did in 2008. LMFAO | |

| Well... some guys are going to have to step up... but we needed that to happen as it is already. Injury is no excuse when you weren't expecting to go anywhere anyway. | |

The big difference here is that the 08 Canucks were missing the equivalent of 2 top 4 dmen for 3/4 of the season. You guys already had a ready made excuse for this season. (New coach, system yada yada yada) Why add another one?

| All I have to say is the first was awesome but then the team stopped skating hard after the puck. the second and for the most part the third were pretty forgettable. I hope Clutster and Sykora arn't out for long periods, but don't blame the game on them being out. Shit happens and the rest of the team has to step out when someone is out, that did not happen. The first was great, play like or even close to that for a whole 60 mins and I guarantee a win. | |

No offense, but your memory must suck. - TaLoN wrote:

NHL GMs disagree on both counts. But wait, I guess you know better than they do.
