Gameday: St. Louis Blues vs Minnesota Wild, 9/24/09

After taking a beating on the scoreboard on Monday versus Columbus on the road, the Wild look to rebound in St. Paul versus the St. Louis Blues tonight where they still haven't allowed a goal against.

Well, we can expect Pouliot, Bouchard, Sykora, Koivu, Hnidy, Brunnette, Weller, and Boogaard won't play due to various injuries.

Sounds like Martin Havlat, Brent Burns, Cal Clutterbuck, Kim Johnsson, James Sheppard and Eric Belanger will play, and Backs will play the full 60 in net...

Would be nice to see the team for the season soon. JL used first half of the season to tank up the points. I think it was a good approach. But if they are not gonna play together, I don't think they will be ready for the first 5 games.

It appears even if the Wild wanted to injuries prevent you from seeing the opening day roster dude.

Pre-season rosters are the reason I always give away my pre-season tickets though. It's a lot of time/money to see something so pointless and now most pre-season games are aired on TV.

Agreed, the Wild are racked with injuries preventing the regulars from getting in there.

Normally, I would say yes, but being preseason, even though I'd prefer the Wild to win, I guess who wins isn't as important.

I like how in Canada TSN is excited about Vancouver being unbeaten, when that won't mean jack when Lou starts giving up goals to Kane in the playoffs.

To me if i was a GM or a Coach i would try to see how the guys fighting for the roster spot are playing under pressure. so regardless of how the wild do in the pre, i just hope they do good during the regular season.
