All four broadcasters................................

Evil or Very Mad Sleep piss piss piss facepalm loco

The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild announced today that the team has re-signed broadcasters (in alphabetical order): Mike Greenlay (television analyst), Bob Kurtz (radio play-by-play), Tom Reid (radio analyst) and Dan Terhaar (television play-by-play) to multi-year contracts.

“We are excited to maintain stability with our television and radio broadcast teams,” said Vice President, Communications and Broadcasting Bill Robertson. “Each broadcaster is skillful in showcasing the Wild to our devoted fan base.”

Terhaar and Greenlay are seen on KSTC-TV, Channel 45 and FOX Sports North, while Kurtz and Reid are heard on WCCO Radio 830 AM and the extensive Wild Radio Network that covers the State of Hockey.

Greenlay enters his ninth year as the Minnesota Wild’s television analyst since being assigned to the post on Aug. 13, 2002. A former goaltender, Greenlay was previously the radio analyst for the Anaheim Ducks (1999-2001) and the Nashville Predators (1998-99) and also worked as a television analyst on several networks. A resident of Woodbury, Minn., Greenlay began his broadcast career with the Houston Aeros in 1995, serving as the team’s radio and television play-by-play announcer for FOX Sports Southwest.

Kurtz, the only radio play-by-play announcer in team history, will work his 11th year behind the Wild radio play-by-play microphone in 2010-11. The Detroit, Mich., native previously spent 11 years working with New England Sports Network in Boston, where he was the network’s play-by-play voice of the Boston Red Sox and also worked an array of other events, including Boston Bruins and Boston University hockey. Kurtz also worked seven seasons as the lead television announcer for the Minnesota North Stars.

Reid will begin his 11th year with the Wild and ninth as the team’s radio analyst. The former NHL defenseman spent his first two years with the club as Minnesota’s television analyst, before partnering again with Kurtz, with whom he worked North Stars television broadcasts in the 1980’s. An NHL defenseman for 11 seasons, Reid has also worked Golden Gopher hockey and the Minnesota State High School League Hockey Tournament.

Terhaar returns for his sixth season as the team’s television play-by-play announcer. The resident of Andover, Minn., was named television play-by-play announcer on Sept. 14, 2005. Before joining the Wild, Terhaar handled play-by-play of several Minnesota State High School League Tournaments, University of Minnesota Golden Gopher hockey, St. Cloud State Hockey and University of North Dakota Hockey.

Per club policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed. In addition to their broadcast roles, Greenlay, Kurtz, Reid and Terhaar are fully integrated into the organization’s communications, sponsorship, website, marketing and community relations initiates including the 2010 Wells Fargo Minnesota Wild Road Tour

wooo. Terhaaar and Greenlay are back. I'm so excited(sarcasm). Well at least the radio broadcasters are back. So the outstaters have something decent to listen to. Well I hope the product on the ice will be a little better than subpar, cuz the voice(s) of the Wild(on TV at least) will suck ass. That said, are we in Finland yet?
