So he won't talk to the media on Friday, eh? Wants to meet with them tomorrow instead? Can't he handle the pressures on gameday or is he trying to avoid the backlash should he not play on Friday?

He had a pretty rough on ice collision... it's a legit issue here. I think he'll still play though. He's on the trip, and will try to skate in their practice before the game. Sounds like the decision will be made depending on that practice.

I just wish I had tickets to a game at all.....even with the 'danger' of not selling out the tickets are still too pricey for someone like me

werd. i was even ok with getting a companion game too because i like going to the X and figured watching the Wild play the Yotes would be a for sure Wild win. But hearing Gaborik was backing out because of injury, i could understand that as the knee is nothing to play around with, but how he is going from "i dunno when i will play again" to scoring the only and GWG for their next game shows he would have been just fine against the Wild.

DR fucked up majorly.

It's not Gaborik's fault. At all.

It was for the best for Gaborik. It was best for the team.

We are rebuilding. Period.

Both Gaborik and the team needed a fresh start and a fresh perspective on things. Gaborik took the money that was offered and ran. I don't blame him one bit at all for going to New York. And he's thriving there. Good for him.

We knew Gaborik was good. We knew he could be one of the most dangerous players in the game. And he's showing it. He's showing what he can do when he has good players around him.

i had accepted the fact that he was going to be gone and that it was DR's fault because of that.

But to address the media, feed the same lines of special fans etc, then not play because of a knee injury and then go ahead and be fine and play like he was never hurt. appears a bit suspicious.

it seems like he always wants to take a chance to stick it to the fans in MN somehow.

In hockey a knee injury can be a serious injury. He sat out one game to make sure it was okay. Would you rather have him play and injure it even worse? New York isn't going to take that risk.
