Well I know Talon isn't but seriously. GET. OVER. IT.
DR fucked up majorly.
It's not Gaborik's fault. At all.
It was for the best for Gaborik. It was best for the team.
We are rebuilding. Period.
Both Gaborik and the team needed a fresh start and a fresh perspective on things. Gaborik took the money that was offered and ran. I don't blame him one bit at all for going to New York. And he's thriving there. Good for him.
We knew Gaborik was good. We knew he could be one of the most dangerous players in the game. And he's showing it. He's showing what he can do when he has good players around him. How about shut the fuck up whiny texan and learn reading comprehension. Seriously, are all Texan hockey fans retarded?

And that's his fault why? It's DR and the fan's fault. Not Gaborik's. I don't blame him at all. Gaborik had a knee injury. That's kind of serious. Sitting out one game is not bad. He had a legitimate reason to sit out. And why is it his fault that he was worthless in trade last season? It's DR's fault for not trading for him immediately. He didn't screw over Minnesota. The fans did. And DR did.

If we are talking about anyone besides gaborik when he is coming back to the team he screwed over, I would agree. He could've stayed in last year and allowed us to trade him, the decision to do surgery during the middle of the season was a big "fuck you" to the team that was paying him 7mil + last season to not play. It's a different sport but look at Favre. He has injuries all the time and plays through it, if gaborik had half the injuries that favre plays through he would've played like 50 games throughout his career. I do agree about DR though. That guy screwed the pooch by not trading him before the season started knowing his injury history, but hindsights 20/20. Had gaborik stayed in the lineup maybe we could've got more in a trade at the deadline. Regardless, gaborik can get bent.

You'll have to explain that again, since the fans have no say in what the front office does. That's right....not even picketing the Wild office would make them fire him.

| You seriously are comparing Favre to Gaborik?
You do realize that you need your legs to move and if you know, they are injured badly, and you can't be effective, well...it kind of sucks. And what if you injured your leg even more serious because you didn't opt for the surgery and it costs you your career?
Yes, OTH, I blame the fans. Fans were contempt with DR doing what he usually does. There was no uproar in the media or any real hard pressure coming from the fans demanding answers through guys like Russo making DR accountable for what occurred over 3 years. The thing that should have started it was DR's reluctance to get any help two years ago when we had Rolston and Demitra. He picked up Chris freaking Simon. Fans should have been calling for his head then. But nope, just a little angry rambling and then we get swept, Rolston leaves for a 4th, and Demitra leaves for...nothing. But no real pressure. We won the Division. Huzzah! It's all DR's brilliance that won the division. Not JL. It wasn't until we knew that Gaborik left that Leipold got the message DR sucked as a GM. If the fans had been asking the hard questions through Russo (who I might add does an okay job) about DR's incompetence and his canned answers, you know that might have led somewhere. But nope. We let DR continue to screw this organization for years only because he won a division.

I would wager that many players are playing through the slight pain he had right now during this season. That is why I bring up someone like Favre, he injured his groin before playing last sunday and he used his legs to move around and be effective.

| What about the 02-03 playoffs when he had multiple injuries including a hernia and he played through that, not only leading us through two very tough opponents?
If he had a knee injury, I would sit him.
Is Ovechkin a pussy because he's sitting out with upper body 'strain'?
What about Demo? Good god, that guy had injury problems. What about Forsberg?
You are coming off as whiny. So what if Gaborik doesn't play a game or two here or there. You think the Rangers would want him to miss more than a game? And they want to play it safe by having one of their leading point producers sit? He did miss the last part of the game. So it's not like he wound up with some mysterious injury.

| He said after that game that he just came out because the game was pretty much over. He did it to miss playing the Wild in Minnesota is all I am complaining about. He didn't want to be the target that he would've been.
Those 02-03 playoffs were awesome and back then he was my favorite player. But, ever since then, he has been milking every little nick & bump he gets IMO.

| Sure, he planned his on-ice collision specifically to miss the Wild game in Minnesota... never mind the fact that wasn't the only game he missed. | |

Either that or timotheuzi just wanted yet another reason to personally hate Gabby. Sorry, but I can't hate a guy who's done nothing but good things while he was here. He'd still be here had DR known his asshole from his elbow.

| Doug should have traded him before he became an UFA. It was pretty obvious Gaborik wanted to be linemates with A-Rod and Jeter. | |
