It's the first preseason game, and it's rather silly to draw ANY concrete conclusions from it. However, considering my love/hate relationship with Backstrom, I'm not at all shocked by Russo's tweet. There is something about him that bugs me. He's a good goalie who turns into a fantastic goalie whenever his contract is winding down.

But don't take this as a sky is falling post. Just the first of many venting sessions about the guy this year.

Russo mentioned how Backs looked rusty in camp, and another poster mentioned how he looked bad during the open scrimmage. I think the guy is becoming too damn comfortable, since it became public that Harding was going to be moved at some point.

or since he is getting 6 fucking million dollars a year, a stat that is interesting to note, when he gets pulled he usually rebounds with a good game, i think he's won almost all the following stars and played well, it could be that he is getting too comfortable. Oh Riser why can't you get a GM job somewhere, there has to be a rich sucker out there...
