If the Cardinals can get their hitting back on a regular basis, that would be nice. Pitching hasn't been too shabby.

Pwned. Big series against the Reds (wait, what?) the next couple days.
They'll probably score a total of 5 runs in the series.

and now we go to a few years of Cubs just being terrible. they had their sparks of hope the past couple of seasons. I blame Bartman.
Twins just putting on a clinic with the Rangers right now.

Didn't Bartman finally come out of hiding a while back? If so, then yeah, totally blame him.

i think he did and refuses to talk to any media outlet. maybe if he would say something we could get one curse out of the way. then the whole goat thing, maybe we can just have a "bring your goat day" at Wrigley

As much as I would kinda like Oswalt, that is way too much money to give a dude who has had health issues lately and doesn't seem to have the same stuff as he once did.

We do need a solid number 1 pitcher (but damn have we been doing alright thus far) I dunno if I would want to risk Oswalt. I can't really think of any other pitchers though that are on the block or who we could trade away. (Harris, Punto, and Busher maybe)

I'm holding out hope for Mark Buehrle coming home to STL after next season. Or being traded here prior to.

For the Twins I'd rather them concentrate on upgrading at closer instead of starter. Rauch is a fine stop gap for now but he just doesn't have the 'stuff' to be a closer...fastball is at 90...not a great 'out' pitch..but who knows if there's even a market for closers as of now.

And Griffey retires finally. The last of Mr. Burns' ringers is gone.
